Welcome to the Weedsport Winter Wanderers website.
We are a group of over 500 members strong of avid snowmobiling enthusiasts. We are always looking to bring new members into our club. Whether you want to be an active participant in club activities and responsibilities, or someone who is just looking to ride - come join us! Everyone is welcome!
Our club meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at the JE Community Center, Rt 31, Jordan at 7:00 pm.
We received an email this morning with the below photos. If it's not one thing, it's another. During a year with virtually no snow, someone decides to go ride their sled through the Skaneateles Golf Course. Note the damage done to the greens and tees. The golf course feels this damage was done intentionally! We have talked with the people at the golf course and we will be taking measures to try to make sure this doesn't happen again. If you have any idea who did this, we would appreciate you letting us know. This type of behavior gives snowmobiling a really bad name and it's sad that someone would intentionally do something to hurt the sport and jeopardize our trails. |

ATTENTION RIDERS |

REMINDER: DO NOT ride along the railways right of way. It is ILLEGAL and we were asked by them to remind snowmobilers to stay off the right of way. |

Please pay attention to and respect all trail signs, particularly in the Jordan and Jordan Middle School area. Please watch your speed and noise level as well. We are looking in to the possibility of having that area patrolled. We have already been contacted with concerns in that area. As always, please be respectful of ALL of our wonderful Landowners. It is because of them we have the fantastic trail system that we have! |

I know we are all anxious to get out and ride, but please do not ride in low snow conditions. Stay OFF farmer's crops. Please use good judgement when riding and take our Landowners into consideration. |

NOTICE TO ALL UNREGISTERED SNOWMOBILE RIDERS: It was brought up at our Board of Director's meeting recently that law enforcement has been and and will be out in full force to check snowmobile registration and insurance. There is a $200 MANDATORY fine with an additional $85 surcharge - AND you will still need to pay the normal registration fees. On a bright note, $100 of the mandatory fine goes directly to the snowmobile fund. However, do yourselves a favor and save the money. Get your sleds registered NOW and be ready when the snow flies again. |
